Alexa Chung to do line for Madewell

After the end of her show, Alexa is not having any problem staying busy.  WWD announced that Alexa will be doing a line for Madewell.  This line will consist of garments that she usually wears (think polka dots and skinny jeans) and will debut in August.  This is an interesting move for Madewell (owned by J.Crew) since the company usually stays away from celebrity collabs.  However, we think it is amazing.  Alexa is not just a celebrity, but a true style icon and we think that Madewell's customers will be lining up in droves to get their hands on these pieces.  We know we will....

Lindsay Lohan's sketches for expanded 6126 line

Today the Cut published these sketches from WWD of Lindsay Lohan's expanded 6126 line.  After a short tirade from lindsay on twitter yesterday (announcing an expanded line) the sketches were quickly published.  Obviously the sketches include some Lohan staples (leggings, very short body hugging dresses) and none of the garments seem a bit surprising.  We are surprised, however, that Lindsay got back in the designing saddle so quickly after the fall at Ungaro.

Thoughts?  Is anyone looking forward to this line?  Word is it will retail between $100 and $600 and will be sold at Niemans, Macy's and Bloomingdales.
