Front Row Pics
We love seeing the front row/behind the scenes pics of the shows, probably because it makes us feel like we are part of the action. Here are a few of our faves from Marc Jacobs, Tibi, Burberry and Proenza.

Video on Street Style Photogs
Absolutely obsessed with this short, behind the scenes video on street style photographer Kamel of Style & the City. He is so down to earth in this video! And we love how it gives a tiny glimpse into a day in the life of a street style photographer (since you know street style is all we really care about right now...)

Outfits we love
Okay so after catching up on blogs we realized that EVERYONE and their mother are doing recaps of all of the fashion shows. So we are going to do something a little bit different and NOT recap the shows. Plus, who has time when the emails/texts/phone calls won't stop coming for girls needing dresses. Also...if you want a recap, style.com has got you covered.
So we will stick to what's inspiring us, what is a bit different, and what catches our eye. And maybe we will do a list of favorites at the end of the fashion season....
Here are the outfits we are obsessing over in the street style pics and why we love them:
1. The pop of yellow against all of the black, we die!
2. That skirt with matching sunglasses (love) and the bun gives it an even more playful look.
3. Need/Want/Have to have that skirt. The slouchy bag and jacket give it a relaxed feel.
4. Love the idea of layering a baggy sweater over a dress. The boots are also a great touch.
5. The color is unexpected as is the shape of the dress. Her hair looks fab too.
6. This dress is to die for. Can't get enough of the shape. Her bun keeps the focus on the dress and the all black ensemble keeps the look streamlined.
pics from some faves: mr newton, tommy ton for style.com and scott schuman of the sartorialist

Monday Inspiration
Back in LA after an amazing weekend in NY. Had some of the best food ever at Stanton Social, shopped a bit too much (mainly at Topshop) and danced so much the legs are still sore.
Was inspired by hole in the wall bars and restaurants, ny street style and big crowds filled with so many people, all with stories of their own.
Nice to be back in LA, but already looking forward to the next trip to NY.

Faves from the Street Style Scene
Nothing makes us happier than Tommy Ton's street style pictures. The outfits are always to die for, the shots are so clear and he seems to capture all of our favorites (miroslava, ADR, Emmanuelle, Carine etc...)
Here are our favorites so far!

Our Missoni for Target Must-Haves
Exactly one week from today the Missoni Collection will be available at Target (unless you are extremely lucky and live in NY and can shop the popup store on FNO) Why oh why are we not going to NY until next weekend??!
Anyways, enough complaining. You better bet we will be first in line come next Tuesday and these are the things that we will most definitely be buying.
Our Must Haves:
The swimsuit AND the floppy hat
The hooded cardigan
And all of the silk scarves....
Pretty sure we won't get out of the store with just these purchases though....

Monday Inspiration
Hoping everyone had an amazing long weekend. We are off to the midwest this week for some business fun with our favorite store owner from shopkatwalk.com. Updates will be a bit slow this week while we try and survive the heat, do some biz work and maybe pick up some midwestern style tips....

all of the good stuff lately has come from theyallhateus.com
we couldn't agree with this quote any more. Life is too boring without pushing the envelope just a tiny bit, right?

Must Have: Carine Roitfeld's Book, Irreverant
Obviously as soon as we heard that Carine Roitfeld was coming out with a book we knew we needed to have it (esp since Oliver Zahm, Purple's Editor is putting it together).
Today we got a sneak peak of the book that is filled with photos of Roitfeld's best work, her own personal snapshots and tidbits of her accomplishments so far. So far the book looks incredible and we are assuming it will be a great source of inspiration.
We have included some of our favorite pics from the sneak peak. And don't worry, you can pre-order the book on Amazon here for $63 (not too bad of a price, since the list price is $100...)
