Missoni Printed Nails?
Okay this is even better than Missoni for target...like way better. Missoni sent their models down the runway this season in Missoni Patterned nails made by Minx. Apparently this collection won't be for sale...but we are quite determined to take pictures to our manicurists this weekend and figure out a way to have it done.

Can't get enough
of the tall socks look. We have been wearing this look nonstop since the weather turned a bit cooler. Whether the socks are mid calf with short boots, over the knee with tall boots, or to the knee with pumps...we don't discriminate. Loving the socks look this season.

Accesories for Fall: More is Better
We can't get enough of the layered bangle look. That paired with numerous rings is even better. And let's be honest, if they don't match we love it even more.

The item we currently can't live without...
Target Jeggings.
We love shopping at Target. We love their designer collaborations, the inexpensive prices and the decent quality of the clothes. However, this gem caught us by surprise. The Target jeggings are just as good as the J Brand Jeggings and they are only $19.99. We bought them on a whim, thinking, why not try them for 20 bucks? Well, the first day we wore them, we fell deeply in love. They fit so well. The wash looks expensive. And they are so darn comfortable.
We immediately went online and purchased a pair of the black jeggings.
We suggest you readers get your hands on these asap. We haven't been this excited about a product in quite some time...

Want it, Need it....
After browsing American Apparel online today, we have decided that these two styles are must haves for the winter season. We know the body suit may seem a bit daring, but when paired with a short skirt and an off the shoulder top, we guarantee it will make an outfit complete. We also desperately need these striped tights. They are so much better than textured tights. They aren't for sale yet, but we already signed up to be alerted via email, as soon as they are.
Grab the bodysuit here and check out the tights here.
And yes, the post may have been written after copious amounts of coffee....

Hardcore 80's or Whimsical 70's? You take your pick.
In Tommy Ton's new feature for Style.com (yes we admit, we basically stalk him), Tommy explores the trends of the hardcore 80s look (studs, leather, zippers, chunky buckles) being traded in for the newer fad of softer styles from the 70s (lighter colors, billowy silhouettes, feminine, light-weight fabrics). Obviously we have majorly bought into the 80's trends. We have embraced studs in every way that we can, we have been wearing sequins, jackets with big shoulders...you get the picture.
We clearly know that this trend will fade out at some point, and we will look at these items with a bit of disgust (as we always do after a trend dies out), but we are a surprised that it is already being pushed out by the very opposite trend of the whimsical 70s.
Tommy's pictures however, are inspiring us to embrace these new trends. The slouchy sweaters, comfy scarves and neutral color palletes do seem quite enticing.
Check out Tommy's feature here for some fall dressing inspiration: Au revoir eighties

Can't get enough, Ostrich Feathers
When one of our favorite designers, Keemia, introduced her Spring 2010 line, we were absolutely speechless. She has completely outdone her past seasons, and we were literally drooling over some of her impeccable dresses. We quickly realized that we were mostly drawn to the pieces that included ostrich feathers. She made an amazing ostrich feathered skirt (in black and white) and an incredible dress (shown above on model) with an ostrich feather bottom. Once we calmed down from seeing her new stuff, we quickly realized that some of the best trends for spring include ostrich feathers. We are trying to gauge how many pieces with ostrich feathers are acceptable to own for one season....thoughts?
Sidenote: Obtaining ostrich feathers does not harm the ostriches!

Obsession for Fall: Texture
There is one trend this fall that keeps drawing us in, the use of textures on shoes, bags, and clothing is currently fascinating us. We can't get enough of embellishments, the use of zippers without an ounce of functionality, studs on shoes, grommets on dresses and spikes on leather.
Here are a few pictures in which the use of texture truly makes the piece. We also must recognize that this new obsession with textures has come mainly from Tommy Ton's photos. He has the most amazing attention to detail, and without him, many of these details would go unnoticed.

Would you rather? Backpacks vs. Fannypacks
Yesterday Abby from Fashionista denounced the comeback of the fanny pack and
Refinery 29 did a piece on backpacks as a fashion statement. Marc Jacobs debuted a few fanny packs in his Spring 2010 collection, and many designers have added stylish backpacks to their list of products for the fall and spring. Just check Opening Ceremony for a slew of stylish backpacks.
Anyways, the debate goes on as to which of these two accesories of the past are making the real comeback. We have spent a portion of the day reminiscing about our amazing Kate Spade mini backpack (our first "designer" purse purchase as a teen) and thinking about how handy fanny packs are for numerous different costume options (college cemented our love of fanny packs).
What are your thoughts? fanny packs or backpacks? or neither at all?
