Interview with Adam Lippes

ADAM is one of our favorite lines out there.  The clothes are wearble and each collection is complete with many unique and gorgeous dresses that we would love to wear.

We also, really love Adam Lippes.  We find him intriguing, so talented, and yet so down to earth and normal.  This interview on him, done by Fashion Indie.com is a good one.  He talks about his inspiration for Fall 10 and his favorite style in that collection.

NYFW A/W 10 Day 3

Thoughts on the day...

Alexander Wang was a bit dissapointing to us.  We loved the cutout looks he went for and a few of the dresses, but for the most part the show was unexciting and so typical of him.  The makeup was scary, it made Sasha even look like she was dying....and the hair made the models look like they hadn't showered in months.  We get that Wang loves grunge, and we love him for that.  But for the love of god, his shows are getting depressing.

ADAM, we always love.  His styles are always so wearable and pretty, we constantly find ourselves wanting to steal some of the runway looks and wear them immediately.  His fall looks were cozy, but still feminine with chunky sweaters and scarves.  He rounded out the collection with some of his signature dresses that we actually really want to wear, like tonight.

Altuzarra was amazing, Style.com defined it as "fierce" and that word describes it perfectly.  Think lots of leather, bodies with sharp angles, and alot of black.  We are pretty sure that half of the collection was out of Cat woman's closet.  Overall, we loved it.

Can't get enough, Ostrich Feathers

When one of our favorite designers, Keemia, introduced her Spring 2010 line, we were absolutely speechless. She has completely outdone her past seasons, and we were literally drooling over some of her impeccable dresses. We quickly realized that we were mostly drawn to the pieces that included ostrich feathers. She made an amazing ostrich feathered skirt (in black and white) and an incredible dress (shown above on model) with an ostrich feather bottom. Once we calmed down from seeing her new stuff, we quickly realized that some of the best trends for spring include ostrich feathers. We are trying to gauge how many pieces with ostrich feathers are acceptable to own for one season....thoughts?

Sidenote: Obtaining ostrich feathers does not harm the ostriches!

NY Fashion Week Day 3 Picks: Alexander Wang, Christian Siriano and ADAM

 

Today we died over Alexander Wang, not because it was daringly different (because it wasn't really) but because many of the looks were things that we would really like to wear.  We found Christian Siriano not to be super thrilling.  Some of the looks were boring and sadly we weren't obsessed with the contruction of many pieces, but we did love these two looks.  Adam came out with some great pieces too, nothing insanely creative, but again, many dresses we would actually like to wear.
