Can't get enough: Elin Kling Style

Well, when it comes to effortless style I have decided that Elin Kling is the queen.  Honestly, this girl is a genius at pairing the simplest pieces together and coming out with an epic outfit.  I try and emulate her style quite often (skinny jeans and a tucked in button down) and I really admire how she makes everything look chic!  Really, even a sweatshirt and ratty jeans look phenomenal on her.  Over the past year she has really climbed to the top of my style icons list.  I'm thinking now that it's just her and Emmanuelle Alt vying for the top spot.

Obsessed with these photos of Joanna Hillman, Miroslava and Taylor Tomasi Hill.  Taylor's style has changed so much.  At first we weren't digging the tomboy vibe, but we are liking these looks.  What do you guys think?

Absolutely obsessed with this short, behind the scenes video on street style photographer Kamel of Style & the City.  He is so down to earth in this video!  And we love how it gives a tiny glimpse into a day in the life of a street style photographer (since you know street style is all we really care about right now...)

Outfits we love

Okay so after catching up on blogs we realized that EVERYONE and their mother are doing recaps of all of the fashion shows.   So we are going to do something a little bit different and NOT recap the shows.  Plus, who has time when the emails/texts/phone calls won't stop coming for girls needing dresses.  Also...if you want a recap, style.com has got you covered.

So we will stick to what's inspiring us, what is a bit different, and what catches our eye.  And maybe we will do a list of favorites at the end of the fashion season....

Here are the outfits we are obsessing over in the street style pics and why we love them:
1. The pop of yellow against all of the black, we die!
2. That skirt with matching sunglasses (love) and the bun gives it an even more playful look.
3. Need/Want/Have to have that skirt.  The slouchy bag and jacket give it a relaxed feel.
4. Love the idea of layering a baggy sweater over a dress.  The boots are also a great touch.
5. The color is unexpected as is the shape of the dress.  Her hair looks fab too.
6.  This dress is to die for.  Can't get enough of the shape.  Her bun keeps the focus on the dress and the all black ensemble keeps the look streamlined.

We are obsessed with Sydney fashion.  It reminds us a bit of LA fashion, as it is casual, but put together, effortless but chic.  We love the brands that come from this fashionable city and we are thrilled that Tommy Ton is at Sydney Fashion Week this season to photograph the street style. Some Coachella Candids

Yes, we realize we have been obsessing over Coachella a lot recently...but so far we have only really focused on our amazing time there.  We realized today that we haven't posted pictures of any of our favorite outfits, or what our favorites did, or how the parties were.  We started searching for pictures/stories of what went on (that we missed out on while jumping up and down in the Sahara tent) and came across a few pictures we loved.  Obviously we had to post them here....

A Dose of Color

Quite enamored with the bright pieces we keep seeing for spring/summer.  Typically we stick to a neutral palette, but lately we are finding the urge to run out a buy a neon skirt, or some other accessory that will brighten things up.  It definitely makes getting dressed more fun.
