Must Have: Carine Roitfeld's Book, Irreverant

Obviously as soon as we heard that Carine Roitfeld was coming out with a book we knew we needed to have it (esp since Oliver Zahm, Purple's Editor is putting it together).

Today we got a sneak peak of the book that is filled with photos of Roitfeld's best work, her own personal snapshots and tidbits of her accomplishments so far.  So far the book looks incredible and we are assuming it will be a great source of inspiration.

We have included some of our favorite pics from the sneak peak.  And don't worry, you can pre-order the book on Amazon here for $63 (not too bad of a price, since the list price is $100...)

Some more Outfit Perfections

Lately we have been consumed by the idea of putting together the perfect outfit.  We have so many different occasions we have to dress for and all require a different look (meeting with clients, business networking, concerts on the beach, nights out....).  It is quite a task to create something that is unexpected but pulled together at the same time.

Here are a few outfits that caught our eyes so far this week. 
Why we love:
1.  Tank dress, plaid shirt, fringe bag and loose, carefree hair
2.  Is that a bodysuit underneath jean shorts?? We DIE.
3.  Girly, perfect fitting dress with a pop of color and a simple bag.
4.  This color is to die for, and love the excess of fabric is such a color.

Happy Monday everyone! We are moving slowly here today.  Spent the weekend in Vegas, playing with friends, dressing up, pretending we knew how to gamble and drinking too much champagne, as always.....It's been an amazing summer so far with plenty of vacations and fun-filled weekends, but now back the real world (as real as the designer dress world can be.)

Summer Soiree Event

Our Summer Soiree event last week was a big success.  So many people came out for it, the store looked amazing thanks to Teri (of beach city lifestyle) and her amazing decorating skills!

It was a really fun party and I think it's safe to say we will be doing this yearly from now on....

Sorry we have sucked at blogging lately.  So much is going on and we would rather wait and post things we love, rather than post just to post.  Make sense??
